A thorough examination and evaluation is carried out by the specialist staff in the Diagnostic Centre before admittance to the Rehabilitation Centre. The staff of psychologists, pedagogists, educational-rehabilitation assistants and other professionals work closely together to carry out the treatment and evaluate the progress achieved by each client. Clients are divided into groups on the basis of characteristics such as sensory disability, age or stage of development. Each client, depending on age, is looked after by one or two highly-qualified professional education-rehabilitation assistants as well as other specialists.

Rehabilitation services
The Institute is linked to the National Health Service, which however only provides part of the costs of the services offered. Fund-raising and co-operation therefore play an important role in the life of the Institute. Rehabilitation services available: - Residential services for people who live far away and who cannot be looked after within the family - day-patient treatment for disabled people living nearby - out-care aimed at particular aspects of each treatment - home care aimed at encouraging personal autonomy and re-adaptation to the environment.
